Mariola Bogacki (1965-)
Mariola Bogacki was born in Poland and now lives in Bremen, Germany, where she settled in 1984.
She discovered oil painting in 1989 and began to explore this medium. She was inspired by works of famous artists such as Max Ernst and Hieronymus Bosch, and began what she termed her "first attempts to walk" in surrealism. In 2002 and 2003 she began to become an internationally accepted artist.
Her painting is of high techical excellence and the imagery she uses is laden with symbolism.
